With Week 6 of Division One finished, here's a recap of Valorant matches, standings, and highlights so far.

DISCLAIMER: Amazon Web Services (AWS) went down on Monday, October 20, 2025, for most of the day when some of Division One’s matches were set to be played. This has resulted in certain matchups being rescheduled and unable to be talked about in this article.

The last matchups to determine top 6 in Division One Valorant are just around the corner, so here’s an overview of the matchups in week 6 and how the standings have changed.

Winthrop VS Stony Brook

Winthrop is one of the top 2 competitors in Division One Valorant, but, with their academy team subbing in, Stony Brook is looking to grab that title for themselves. Game 1 on Haven (Winthrop pick) started off with a Winthrop 3-round win streak with more impressive plays afterward like WU Skypoof’s 1v2 Clutch in round 6 and WU Echo’s quad kill in round 8. But Stony Brook had the adjustment advantage. Stony Brook went on their own 3-round win streak and got much more. SBU Gunny became a highlight as he always got important picks for his team. It ended as an 8-13 win for Stony Brook. Game 2 on Lotus (Stony Brook pick) was much closer. Both teams got their rounds that propelled them forward. Stony Brook had a Thrifty on round 8 and SBU BIG TONKA T pulling off a triple kill on round 11. However, that triple kill didn’t win the match as WU H0llywood was able to end him and barely get the defuse win. Winthrop caught up to Stony Brook, 9-9. Soon, it was 10-10. Stony Brook managed to secure the next two rounds they needed with SBU Majestic closing out their victory with a 1v2 Clutch in round 23. It was 10-13.

Winthrop and Stony Brook are 4-2 in Division One Valorant.

West Virginia VS Ohio State

West Virginia was a star in this matchup as they had such a strong presence that Ohio State couldn’t get more than 5 points in either game. In game 1 on Haven (Ohio State pick), they started with an 11-round win streak. This included a Flawless in round 2 and 6, WVU Excite getting a 1v2 Clutch in round 4 and a 4v1 Clutch in round 9, and WVU In0X obtaining an Ace in round 11. It was a sight to see. Game 1 went to West Virginia, 13-2. Despite game 2 on Bind (West Virginia pick) starting with a WVU 5-round win streak, it had Ohio State making some impressive plays. OSU Isotopichero claimed a quad-kill Clutch on round 6, and OSU DerpyBlobFish solidified a Clutch in round 9. The game was a 13-3 win for West Virginia.

West Virginia is 4-2 and Ohio State is 1-5 in Division One Valorant.

Boise State VS St. Clair

The stream jumped into game 1 on Lotus (St. Clair pick) with St. Clair already having a 0-3 lead. They kept this up with SCC Tillo achieving a quad kill in round 6. Boise State was able to shine with a Thrifty in round 4, but it wasn’t enough to claim a win. St. Clair got game 1, 5-13. If you thought game 2 on Bind (Boise State pick) would go similarly, you’d be sorely mistaken. Boise State destroyed any chance of getting 0-2’d with strong performances by BSU Skies and BSU Master. They tied St. Clair, 3-3, then just kept going, accomplishing a 9-round win streak. This included a Flawless in round 9. Boise State flips the game-1 win by obtaining a game-2, 13-4 victory. Game 3 on Ascent (Leftover) had St. Clair lock in, starting the game off with round point due to spike not being planted in time. They then went on a 8-round win streak. Boise State was always close until capturing round 9. A short 3-round win streak was their reward. SCC Jazzyk1ns closed out the 4-13 game with a quad-kill Clutch.

Boise State is 1-5 and St. Clair is 4-2 in Division One Valorant.
