Maryville VS Ohio State

Corrode (Maryville pick) starts with Ohio State being a formidable foe against Maryville, being neck and neck and even ahead at times. OSU Des gets a quad kill in round 6, OSU Hamburger captured round 8 with an Ace, and Ohio State locks down a Team Ace in round 10. These highlighted kills among others helped the team be 3-3, 4-4, and 6-6 even with Maryville. However, Maryville did what they do best. Win. They built up momentum to leave Ohio State in the dust. A Thrifty in round 11 and Flawlesses in round 16 (with a MU Geeza triple kill) and 18 propelled them to their 13-8 win. Game 2 on Haven (Ohio State pick) was expected to have that same even fight at the start, but Maryville left them in the dust. A Flawless round 7 and MU Screwface getting a quad kill in round 11 helped out. Maryville gets a match victory, 13-3, and goes into playoffs undefeated.

Maryville is 7-0 and Ohio State is 1-6 in Division One Valorant.

St. Clair VS Stony Brook

St. Clair and Stony Brook seemed like an even matchup out the gate. The score was 0-1, 1-1, 2-1, then 2-2. St. Clair picked up pace. Stony Brook chased after them with SBU Ayble and SBU Rukie winning a 4v2 in round 9, a clutched round 16, and SBU Gunny’s triple kill in round 20, but they got stuck at 10 points. St. Clair had additional stunts like a Flawless round 13 and SCC Jayp’s quad-kill clutch in round 12 to push themselves forward. It ended 13-10 for St. Clair. Lotus (Stony Brook pick) has SBU BIG TONKA T’s impressive quad kill to grab round 1. However, they lagged behind after that. St. Clair led with SCC Tillo obtaining a quad kill in round 5. It evens up 4-4, but Stony Brook is only able to win one more point before the game ends. St. Clair ends the game with a Team Ace and 13-5 victory.

St.Clair is 5-2 and Stony Brook is 4-3 in Division One Valorant.

Utah VS Boise State

Two equal teams fight for the possibility to make it to playoffs. Jumping into game 1 on Corrode (Utah pick), Boise State was already up 1-2 and hungry for more. A Flawless round 5 goes in their favor. Utah fought to close the gap with a solid Thrifty in round 7, but it wasn’t enough. BSU KOS went on to land a quad kill in round 8 and a triple kill through smoke for a Flawless round 9. Boise State won, 7-13. Utah proved they aren’t to be messed with in game 2 on Abyss (Boise State pick). On a go-to map for Boise State, Utah started it off with a 2-0 lead. Boise State caught up 2-2 then 4-4, but then fell behind. Forcing them to move in Utah’s favor helped Utah win, 13-6. Lotus (Leftover) was the final game for their regular season and both teams went all in. It ties up 5-5 then Utah gets the lead, including a Team Ace in round 12. Boise State manages to tie it up again, 9-9. BSU Skelesis’ sneaky 2v1 for point 10 leads the way to a Boise State victory, 10-13.

Utah is 0-7 and Boise State is 2-5 in Division One Valorant.

Winthrop VS West Virginia

Winthrop began game 1 on Haven (Winthrop pick) with an impressive 6-1 lead. It seemed like they were destined to win, but West Virginia, with the help of WVU In0X’s triple kill in round 6 and WVU A77 saving rounds, managed to go on an 8-round win streak. Rounds 15 and 16 wre captured by WVU Gucc107 with quick triple kills. Winthrop tried their best to catch up. West Virginia sealed victory, 10-13, with a flawless in the last round. Game 2 on Bind (West Virginia pick) was quickly captured by West Virginia as the regular season came to a close. Seeing them have a 3-7 lead spoke volumes to how the game turned out. Winthrop did win a 1v1 in round 13, but, ultimately, the victory went to West Virginia, 5-13.

Winthrop is 4-3 and West Virginia is 5-2 in Division One Valorant.
