With Week 6 of Division One finished, here's a recap of League of Legends matches, standings, and highlights so far.
DISCLAIMER: Amazon Web Services (AWS) went down on Monday, October 20, 2025, for most of the day when some of Division One’s matches were set to be played. This has resulted in certain matchups being rescheduled and unable to be talked about in this article.
The last matchups to determine top 6 in Division One League of Legends areBold just around the corner, so here’s an overview of the matchups in week 6 and how the standings have changed.
Winthrop VS Stony Brook
Two 4-1 teams facing each other for 2nd place ended up not being as close of a game as one would’ve expected. Stony Brook started off with a solid kill lead, getting 3 kills at 4:21 compared to Winthrop’s 1. They also managed to get a 3 for 3 trade, everyone in the fight was defeated, in bot lane to keep their kill advantage. Winthrop, on the other hand, had the objectives. They managed to steal one of the void grubs and get the first drake away from Stony Brook. They also used their top lane advantage to keep Stony Brook’s Dancingwiththebl on their toes for ganks. The kill score flipped in their favor. A top lane and a bot lane tower fell at the same time as Stony Brook struggled to be everywhere at once. When Winthrop started to push into base, their plan to reset seemed to change after Stony Brook kept engaging them… and dying. Game 1 ended at 21:10 with a 31-11 kill score. In game 2, Winthrop secured their objectives faster without giving anything up. Stony Brook was left with nothing at 12 minutes. No void grubs or first drake. It wasn’t long before Winthrop pushed into their base and ended the match with an Ace.
Winthrop is 5-1 and Stony Brook is 4-2 in Division One League of Legends.

West Virginia VS Ohio State
West Virginia VS Ohio State was a match to be within the top 6 standings. Ohio State made it very clear that they weren’t about to be knocked down. In the early game of game 1, they collected both the first drake and all 3 void grubs. Towers fell as Ohio State eventually got comfortable enough to chase down West Virginia. One chase resulted in a triple kill and a tower. It ended with a kill score of 12-30. Game 2 wasn’t much better for West Virginia. Their bot lane was more vulnerable this time. Ohio State could dive onto a player with 3 of their own, but West Virginia couldn’t do the same to a solo Renekton. There was about a 12k gold difference at 13 minutes. With Ohio State split-pushing top and bot lane, the game and match ended with a solid Ace.
West Virginia is 1-5 and Ohio State is 3-3 in Division One League of Legends.
