With Week 7 of Division One finished, here's a recap of League of Legends matches, standings, and highlights so far.

With the regular season over and playoffs on their way, here are the matches, highlights, and current leaderboard to catch up in Division One League of Legends.

Maryville VS Ohio State

Maryville is itching to end the regular season with a perfect 7-0 win streak. Ohio State started game 1 strong: a 2-kill lead, 1st drake, and managed to steal a void grub. Though the void grub steal, opened up how prevailing Maryville is. They picked up pace fast and efficiently. Maryville had a 10k gold advantage at 17:30 minutes. Ohio State’s base was rushed with the power of 2 drakes and rift herald to end game 1 with a 25-3 kill score. Game 2 brought out Maryville’s aggressive style of play. They chased Ohio State players under and past their towers with big team fight wins. OSU 2m2mc, the best-scaled Ohio State player this game, couldn’t recover from the onslaught. Maryville succeeds in having a perfect record as they end the game, and match, with 2 pop-up Aces and a 32-10 kill score.

Maryville is 7-0 and Ohio State is 3-4 in Division One League of Legends.

St. Clair VS Stony Brook

Stony Brook grabbed 2 void grubs and 2 drakes to start off game 1. It didn’t look good for St. Clair with their dangerous dives for kills and weakness in team fights. However, they were ramping up in scale. They traded objectives: St. Clair got the 3rd Drake and Stony Brook got the herald. Then things flipped. SCC Matty as Nocturne and SCC Feiz as Neeko were powerhouses at using their ultimates to dominate team fights and pushed the team ahead in the kill score, 16-13. Baron and Atakhan fall to them, and an Ace at the 4th drake allows St. Clair to rush base for the win. Game 2 goes in Stony Brook’s favor. SBU Tempest grabbed first drake from St. Clair despite losing the team fight. Top and bot lanes were struggling against Stony Brook, while mid lane towers fell soon after them. St. Clair may have gotten rift herald and won that team fight, but that doesn’t help them. Stony Brook gets an Ace. With Baron, Stony Brook won game 2. Game 3 flip-flops between the two teams as they fight for a better position in the playoffs. St. Clair captures all 3 void grubs, first drake, and later first tower in the early game. But Stony Brook, just like game 1, were winning team fights and grabbed rift herald in the process. That advantage dies out as St. Clair scales ahead with Atakhan, 2 Aces, and a Baron to rush into base for an overall match win.

St. Clair is 5-2 and Stony Brook is 4-3 in Division One League of Legends.

Utah VS Boise State

Boise State started game 1 with determination. Utah may have had the pressure, but that doesn’t mean much when Boise State led in kills and gained the 2nd and 3rd drakes under their wing. Instead of 1st drake, they still had the early-game buff from all 3 void grubs. Utah’s constant pressure soon paid off. With having obtained Rift Herald and Atakhan, a game-flipping fight at the 5th drake gave way to them ending the game. UTAH Hor1zon stood out on Vladimir as a real thorn in Boise State’s side. Game 2 had Boise State collect 1st drake without a fight despite scaling behind Utah. The next three drakes went to Utah as they completely dominated this game. Boise State was stuck at only 1 kill for most of it. A quad kill by UTAH Pwnkickfly at Boise State’s base secured Utah’s seat in playoffs.

Utah is 2-5 and Boise State is 0-7 in Division One League of Legends.

Winthrop VS West Virginia

Winthrop came into this match against West Virginia wanting to end it as fast as possible. Objectives or no objectives. In game 1, they had a 6-1 kill score lead within 5 and a half minutes. A 4k gold lead within 6 minutes. WU Denathor owned the top lane and felled its tower first. Winthrop ended the game with an Ace and had 3 void grubs, no drakes, a rift herald that was collected as they were already in West Virginia’s base, a 22k gold advantage, and 36 kills over West Virginia’s 3. It took 18 minutes. This great game got outplayed in game 2, which ended in 17 minutes and 25 seconds. WVU Dinxx unfortunately became first blood when he got caught out a little over a minute into the game. This didn’t deter West Virginia as, this time, they were getting good plays on Winthrop. A WVU double kill in bot lane evened the kill score, 7-7. However, cracks formed quickly. Winthrop chased West Virginia away from 1st drake, getting 4 kills in the process. Top lane was still in WU Denathor’s favor and was the first to fall again. Winthrop ended game 2 with 3 void grubs, 1 drake, a 42-7 kill score, and a solid Ace.

Winthrop is 6-1 and West Virginia is 1-6 in Division One League of Legends.
