With Week 3 of Division One finished, here's a recap of League of Legends matches, standings, highlights, and player statistics so far.

Week 3 is over, which means it’s time to recap what’s been going on in the League of Legends sphere of Division One! Not only will matches and standings be featured, but also a Play of the Match clip(s) for all four games.

Utah VS St. Clair

In the matchup between Utah and St. Clair, a large gold difference would prevent Utah from taking game 1. It wasn’t enough for Utah to take first drake. It wasn’t enough for Utah’s Hor1z0n to get a penta kill in the late game. It wasn’t enough for Utah to prevent 3 nexus pushes from ending the game. Utah was down in gold and levels. St. Clair’s bot lane advantage helped them corner Utah in both game 1 and 2, with an additional team role switch in game 2. The match went in St. Clair’s favor in the end.

Utah is 0-3 and St. Clair is 2-1 in Division One.

Ohio State VS Winthrop

Winthrop took a strong win against Ohio State, who were undefeated before now, on Saturday. They got 12 kills in game 1 before Ohio State got their first as well as ending game 1 with an Ace at around 20 minutes while only having a drake. Ohio State put up a stronger fight in game 2. Ohio State’s 5150 got a quad kill in a team fight around the edge of their base, forcing Winthrop to regroup. But Winthrop was too confident at that point, attacking under and between enemy towers, that they eventually got the win.

Winthrop and Ohio State are 2-1 in Division One.

Stony Brook VS Maryville

A battle between two undefeated League of Legends teams always starts interesting in the early game. In game 1, Stony Brook gets first drake and manages to get back to a nearly even 6-7. The two games had Stony Brook giving their all to try to grab the lead. They got 2 kills in an excellent team fight that included Stony Brook’s Tempest preventing Maryville’s Toasty from diving them. But there’s a reason why Maryville is a top competitor in Division One. Maryville got more multikills with their strong scaling. The match ended 0-2 in Maryville’s victory.

Stony Brook is 2-1 and Maryville is 3-0 in Division One.

Boise State VS West Virginia

Two teams at 0-2 are hungry for their first win in Division One’s League of Legends season. Bot lane became the battleground for lane dominance. Boise State claims first blood in both games with a strong start. In game 1, the two teams split for opposite jungle pits as Boise State got void grubs and West Virginia got the drake. A fight directly after Boise State gets their first drake goes in West Virginia’s favor. It shows the team difference. Game 1 and 2 ends with West Virginia’s Dinxx getting a triple kill to end the game and rush base respectively.

Boise State is 0-3 and West Virginia is 1-2 in Division One.
