With Week 5 of Division One finished, here's a recap of Valorant matches, standings, highlights, and player statistics so far.

Week 5 of Division One Valorant split teams closer to their final standings, despite there still being ties. These are the exciting recaps and highlights of those games as well as an update to the leaderboard.

Ohio State VS Stony Brook

This matchup favored Stony Brook from the beginning. Game 1 on Lotus (Stony Brook pick) had them lose round 3 then go on a triumphant 10-round winning streak before Ohio State got another point. It was full of double kills by SBU Majestic and Gunny as well as SBU Gunny saving rounds to keep the win streak going. They also got a flawless round 9, and an impressive 3v1 Clutch by SBU BIG TONKA T. It ended 3-13 with a Team Ace. Game 2 on Corrode (Ohio State pick) showed improvement in Ohio State. Stony Brook still went on a 9-round win streak right out the gate, but Ohio State went on a short win streak and got a couple wins after. OSU Hamburger’s own 1v3 clutch in round 10 sparked a fire in them. Stony Brook won the match, 5-13.

Ohio State is 1-4 and Stony Brook is 3-2 in Division One Valorant.

Winthrop VS St. Clair

Game 1 on Haven (Winthrop pick) was a must watch. St. Clair started with a 1-6 lead that had SCC Taiga pulling off a triple in round 2 and a Clutch in round 3. Winthrop didn’t take their lead lightly as they fought hard to even out the score. WU Skypoof started popping off, including a triple kill in round 17 for a flawless. WU WEBKINZ also got a quad kill that resulted in a round 10 Clutch. The game was 10-10. St. Clair isn’t able to get anymore points as Winthrop ended the game with a WU Case triple kill in round 21 and a flawless round 22. It’s a 13-10 win for Winthrop. Game 2 on Lotus (St. Clair pick) went much worse for St. Clair. They’re only able to get 5 points, while Winthrop rides their game win to victory. A Team Ace on round 1, Thrifty round 3, and Flawless round 7, while St. Clair is only able to get a quick triple kill by SCC AbruX. The game ended 13-5 for Winthrop.

Winthrop is 4-1 and St. Clair is 3-2 in Division One Valorant.

Boise State VS Maryville

Maryville continues their Division One win collection as Boise State is the next team to fall to them. They start with a nearly perfect game 1 on Abyss (Maryville pick). Going 1-13 against Boise State, MU Geeza proved to be a real thorn in their side with a triple kill and a quad kill in flawless rounds 1 and 11 respectively. WU RENZ and WU Wildfire also got impressive triple kills. Boise State’s win in round 5 was due to time running out. Game 2 on Bind (Boise State pick) had Boise State putting up more of a fight. They got a Thrifty in round 11 and a Flawless in round 18. This didn’t stop MU Ange from getting an ACE in round 3. It was a 6-13 match for Maryville.

Boise State is 1-4 and Maryville is 5-0 in Division One Valorant.

West Virginia VS Utah

Utah came into game 1 on Bind (Utah pick) with determination. West Virginia might have captured round 1 with a flawless, but Utah has Superman on their team, who Ace’d round 4 and helped the team get a flawless round 5. A 5-round win streak commenced before West Virginia could obtain a second round point. The game eventually became a 9-9 tie that included UTAH Onstage clutching a round-10 2v1 and WVU Gucc107 getting a triple kill on round 14. West Virginia won out, 13-10. Game 2 on Lotus (West Virginia pick) wasn’t as close. West Virginia had enough breathing room to get important kills that left Utah vulnerable. Utah was only able to really get wins in the late game. It was a 13-4 win for West Virginia.

West Virginia is 3-2 and Utah is 0-5 in Division One Valorant.
