With Week 2 of Division One finished, here's a recap of the League of Legends matches, standings, and player statistics so far.

Week 2 is wrapped up with some exciting games that paint a clearer picture of whether teams are in the top, bottom, or middle of the League of Legends leaderboard. Here’s an overview of the games played, where teams stand in Division One, and a top-5 leaderboard for player statistics.

Utah VS Winthrop

Utah and Winthrop have a sizable player rank difference, so it wasn’t surprising when Winthrop dominated both games for a win. Utah struggled with face-to-face lane fights that left them separated or over powered. Three of the five Utah players even had zero kills at the end of game 1.

Still, it wasn’t a total steamroll as Winthrop found game 2 a bit harder. Utah was starting to get kills . It still resulted in a loss for them, but there was improvement.

Utah is 0-2 and Winthrop is 1-1 in Division One League of Legends.

St. Clair VS Maryville

Maryville continued their undefeated streak in their Monday game against St. Clair--an exciting match that started off in St. Clair’s favor for both of the two games. They had a good strategy going in the early game, catching Maryville off-guard when there were one or two players there. It helped St. Clair take the lead in the bot lane for both games.

But Maryville always managed to turn the game around with one team fight. One. Team. Fight.

The turnaround on game 1 was brutal. St. Clair managed to get an Ace on Maryville only for Maryville to return it three fold. They got one Ace against St. Clair, then St. Clair decided to try and team fight two times afterward. Maryville won them and, ultimately, the game. Game 2 had a similar flip in advantage with one team fight, but St. Clair played more carefully. It just shows how dominant Maryville is in Division One even when they’re losing.

Maryville is 2-0 and St. Clair is 1-1 in Division One League of Legends.

Stony Brook VS West Virginia

A match between Stony Brook and West Virginia would seem to be an even matchup, but that’s not what happened. It started with Stony Brook managing to push back West Virginia from a drake they were trying to take. It was a solid dive onto West Virginia that caused them to separate. Stony Brook, on the other hand, was all in and got the drake. Their ability to stick and commit to fights together allowed them to win the match.

Stony Brook is 2-0 and West Virginia is 0-2 in Division One League of Legends.

Boise State VS Ohio State

Unfortunately, the matchup between Boise State and Ohio State wasn’t streamed, but, through the results on Division One’s League of Legends page, the outcome was a pretty dominant win by Ohio State. A sizable gold lead starting at 4 minutes in grows to a 19.6k gold difference by the end. Ohio State also out-damaged Boise State’s lane counterparts like how Ohio State’s 2m2mc does 20.4k more damage then Boise State’s Warriornomad in top lane.

Boise State is 0-2 and Ohio State is 2-0 in Division One League of Legends.
